| Qualifications | Kneeland School is a small school in a rural setting. Each classroom has fewer than 15 students, there are three teachers, and 4 classified staff members. Everyone wears multiple hats, and the job is never dull! A successful candidate will have experience working with young learners, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well with a close-knit team of educators and families. The position is a combination instructional aide and custodian with some light landscaping and maintenance around the campus. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, and have passed the CBEST or paraprofessional exam -- or be willing to take the paraprofessional exam. The candidate should have basic skills with garden tools, power tools, and custodial equipment and a good moral and ethical work code. Must have the disposition to work with children. Knowledge and understanding of appropriate sanitary requirements including the proper use and handling of chemicals. The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States |
