Qualifications Fuente Nueva Charter School seeks a dedicated Reading Specialist or experienced Reading Teacher to serve as a full-time literacy leader in our diverse pk-5 elementary learning community. The ideal candidate brings specialized expertise in reading instruction, assessment, and intervention strategies, with deep knowledge of strong literacy foundations. Educators at Fuente Nueva center their work around the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion to create trauma-sensitive classrooms while serving the whole child as a member of the culturally diverse world community. This position offers a competitive salary and requires a valid California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential, CLAD certificate, elementary classroom experience, and strong communication skills, with familiarity in MTSS/PBIS and Restorative Practices. Reading Specialist credentials, experience with reading assessment tools, data-driven instruction, targeted reading interventions, and partner teaching models are highly preferred, while Spanish proficiency is helpful but not required.



The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States
