"The California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) defines a Community School as any school serving pre-Kindergarten through high school students using a whole-child approach, with an integrated focus on academics, health and social services, youth and community development, and community engagement." The Community School Coordinator will improve student outcomes by addressing students' academic, cognitive, physical, mental, and social-emotional needs by assisting with orchestrating governmental and community resources to help meet the needs of children and youth by building a positive school climate and trusting relationships, along with rich learning opportunities that prepare all students to succeed in college, career, and life. The successful candidate will hold a valid California teaching credential, social work license, school counseling credential, or other valid relevant community or educational credential, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be a team player, and also be self-directed. The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, have a strong understanding of state laws and best practices regarding the California Community Schools Partnership Program grant and guidance, and be able to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships, as well as work independently using effective public relations skills with little direction. The candidate will be competent in technology and have experience using Word, Excel, Google Suite, and online programs. The qualified candidate will have the ability to work confidentially with discretion and meet schedules and timelines. The candidate will also complete all trainings and a pass a background check. While the continuation of this position is foreseen for years to come, this position is contingent on continued grant funding.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States
