Salary $21.52-$24.35/hour, plus longevity (initial placement is typically made at or near the beginning of the salary range). SB 1960 requires agency shop fees for this position.

Qualifications Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, one year experience in the operation of automotive vehicles, and have attained the age 21. Ability to obtain a valid California Class B Operator’s or other license endorsements by the Department of Motor Vehicles to permit the driving of a school bus and a School Bus Driver’s Certificate as issued by the California Highway Patrol within 90 days of hire. Ability to participate in specific training related to the transportation of special needs students and related transportation equipment is required.

Successful applicants must pass a pre-employment physical (paid by the District), including drug and alcohol testing. Department of Justice fingerprint clearance must be completed prior to the first day of employment at the cost of $62 to the employee.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States
