| Qualifications | QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of : Basic concepts of child growth and development and developmental behavior characteristics Behavioral management strategies and techniques related to pupils; Appropriate English usage, punctuation, spelling and grammar; and Basic arithmetic concepts. Ability to pass HCOE paraprofessional exam or otherwise prove attainment of basic education skills. Ability to: Demonstrate an understanding, patient and receptive attitude toward students of varied age groups and from diverse social backgrounds; Appropriately manage student behavior and guide students toward more acceptable social behaviors; Communicate effectively in oral and written directions; Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with children, parents, other staff members and administration. The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States |
