| Qualifications | Kneeland School is a small, rural school district atop the mountain between Arcata and Eureka. We are looking for a skilled, dedicated teacher for our 3-5 grade class -- predicted to have 8 students in the class for 2025-2026. The position offered is listed as .95 to 1.0 FTE depending on the needs of the successful candidate -- whether or not the candidate wants to take benefits or prefers to decline benefits. Kneeland School has recently updated its certificated salary schedule to be extremely competitive with schools throughout Humboldt County, but instead of teaching 25 to 30 students in one classroom, teachers at Kneeland teach 10 or fewer students in each classroom. Benefits are available and are on a tiered structure. The Kneeland School team is a close group of ambitious, fun-loving educators who endeavor to find exciting ways to bring learning opportunities to our students. We do go on monthly field trips, have an all-school camping trip at the river, and we have longer breaks throughout the year that line up with Arcata, Eureka, and McKinleyville breaks. The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States |
