Qualifications Candidates Minimum Qualifications:

Possess and maintain the appropriate and valid education, certificates, and/or credentials for school counseling.

Demonstrate competence in communicating effectively with children and parents, staff members and representatives of other agencies.

Preferred specialized skills, experiences, and training in a variety of assessment instruments designed to evaluate educational achievement, ability, interest, modes of learning and related counseling conditions.

Demonstrate knowledge of and experience with various community resources associated with special needs youth and families.

Possess specialized skills, pupil assessment, experience, and training in the areas of curriculum development,

Maintain valid CPR and First Aid certification;

Fingerprint and Tuberculosis clearance is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges.

Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student development and well-being.

Manage student behavior and conflicts, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Advocate for students' needs and coordinate with special education services when necessary.

SUMMARY:

As a School Counselor, you will be instrumental in supporting students' academic and emotional well-being, reporting directly to the school administration.

Your core skills in individual and group counseling, behavior management, and communication will be essential in fostering a positive school environment.

With premium skills in special education and mental health counseling, you will address diverse student needs.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States
