| Qualifications | Education and Experience: Minimum required: High School Diploma or the equivalent (GED) AA Degree**, 48 college units**, or passed Para-educator exam Preferred Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with students who have significant needs is desirable. Ability to speak a second language (Spanish, Sign Language, Hmong highly desirable). *Position is 3 hrs/day, so does not qualify for Health & Welfare benefits or CalPERS Retirement. **Please submit transcripts if you have a degree or if you are using college units to satisfy the Para-educator exam requirements. The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States |
