Laurel Tree Charter is looking for a full-time teacher to work as part of our primary team starting in the 2025/26 school year. We are a teacher-run, K-12 public school. This position is part of a team of teachers that work together to create curriculum and experiences for our 1st through 3rd-grade classes. We are seeking candidates who are interested in training in Forest School, working outside, and being involved in an innovative, child-led program. Qualifications Skills and duties that will be assessed as part of being a member of a teacher-run school:
• Participates in the Administrative Team.
• Writes goals for growth and professional development as a teacher and a member of the administrative staff:
• Seeks out and participates in professional development that improves teaching or supports the running of the school.
• Works collaboratively to plan and provide instruction and activities that benefit students.
• Contacts and works effectively with parents.
• Demonstrates and models community skills in mediation, mindfulness, and restorative justice.
• Effectively and kindly handles discipline within the classroom, as well as supports other teachers with collaborative discipline and opportunities for student self-reflection.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States
