Qualifications Education and Experience:
Proficiency in Signing Exact English and/or Signed English both expressive and receptive.
One year of part-time paid or volunteer experience of interpreting in lecture, group discussion, and one-to-one settings.

License, Certificate and Testing Requirement:
Certification by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf or Equivalent. One of the following certifications meet this requirement: Registry of Interpreters for the Dear (RID) Certification, American Consortium of Certified Interpreters (ACCI), Level 4 or above, or NAD Certification, Level 4 or above.
Paraprofessional Certificate from Humboldt County Office of Education, OR Associate's degree, or two years of study at an institute of higher learning.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States
