Classified Management Vacancy Food Service Manager, 8 hours/day, contracted 194 days, 10 month probationary position. Pay Range: $34,951 - $49,384/year, depending on experience. Works under the direction of the Superintendent to manage and direct staff and the operations of a food service facility. Responsible for the timely and efficient preparation and serving of nutritional meals; maintains the food service facility in an orderly, safe and sanitary condition; and coordinates assigned personnel. Maintains records, prepares reports, orders supplies, completes nutritional reports as required by the State. Technical cooking skills as well as clerical, including basic computer skills, managerial and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications	Must hold Food Safety Manager Certification. Completion of two years of college and five years of increasingly responsible experience in food preparation in an educational setting serving elementary students. Experience of a similar nature may be substituted. Completion of Certificate by the State or Federal Government related to Food Service health, safety, food preparation and nutritional guidelines required. (Food Safety Manager Certification) Knowledge of complex math concepts for recipe preparation and duplication of standard recipes for large quantity. Knowledge of kitchen equipment; methods and techniques of food preparations; proper food service sanitation and safety requirements; and menu planning according to state requirements and nutritional principles. The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States
