Qualifications Ability to:
Support instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics through 8th grade
Communicate, collaborate and problem solve
Translate accurately between English and the second language

Knowledge of:
Child development and behavior management
Basic technology proficiency (Google Suite preferred)
Effective bilingual instructional techniques
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate well with children and adults
Familiarity with multicultural education principles and practices

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience working with school-aged children in educational or recreational settings is preferred

License, Certificate and Testing Requirement
Minimally 2 years of college coursework (48 units) equivalent to an AA degree or Educational Paraprofessional Certification
Fingerprint and TB Clearance

The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States
