Qualifications Education and Experience:
Minimum required:
High School Diploma or the equivalent (GED)
AA degree*, 48 college units, or passed County Para-educator exam

Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with students who have significant needs is desirable.
Ability to speak a second language (Spanish, Sign Language, Hmong highly desirable).

*At this stage, unofficial transcripts are acceptable. If offered the position, official transcripts will be required for placement (if using the AA degree to satisfy the para-educator exam requirement or if you have a Bachelor's Degree or higher, HCOE offers a stipend.).

The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States
