The primary focus of this position is transforming student outcomes through proactive discipline and attendance improvement. We are looking for a leader who views discipline not just as a set of consequences, but as an opportunity for mentorship and growth.

• Instructional Leadership: Support teacher growth through formal evaluations and classroom observations, ensuring high-quality instruction across all departments.
• Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator between students, staff, and parents to resolve grievances and foster a collaborative school community.
Required Qualifications: • Certification: Possession of a valid California Administrative Services Credential (or eligibility for an Internship Credential).
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably at the secondary level.
• Leadership: Demonstrated experience in handling student behavior management and implementing attendance initiatives.

Preferred Skills:
• Data-Informed: Ability to analyze attendance and behavioral data to track trends and measure the success of interventions.
• Community-Minded: A commitment to the Fortuna community and an understanding of the unique needs of a rural, comprehensive high school.
