| Certificated Vacancy The Mental Health Intervention Specialist shall report directly to the Superintendent and/or Principal and assume responsibility for providing a continuum of school-based mental health services within the MTSS framework for students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade. The Mental Health Intervention Specialist supports students with emerging and intensive social, emotional, and behavioral needs through evidence-based interventions designed to strengthen the connection between home, school, and the community. As a credentialed mental health professional, the Mental Health Intervention Specialist brings expertise in data collection, counseling, behavioral health, and tiered intervention that allows students to strengthen emotional regulation, increase readiness to learn, and fully access their academic opportunities. The Mental Health Intervention Specialist will collaborate with administrators, educators, families, and community partners to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students served by the Pacific Union School District. |

| Qualifications | 1. Education: A Bachelor’s degree, including all courses needed to meet and maintain credential requirements. A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred. 2. Certification: Possess and maintain a valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential authorizing services as a school counselor, school social worker, or school psychologist; or a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license recognized by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Maintain valid CPR and First Aid certification. 3. Desired Experience: Experience in a school-based setting, preferably at the TK–8 level. Experience providing tiered mental health interventions, facilitating student support teams, conducting threat assessments, and coordinating with community mental health providers. Experience with data-based decision making and maintaining accurate records in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 4. Personal Characteristics: Appearance, grooming, and personality that establish a positive example for students. Ability to create and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners. 5. Other: Fingerprint and Tuberculosis clearance is required. Valid California driver’s license is required. The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and show proof of eligibility to work in the United States |
