Qualifications:
Applicants must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the visual arts and have experience in teaching and working with students in grades TK-5. Also, must exhibit a knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, and classroom management. The Art Instructor must covey a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community. A portfolio of personal artistic creation is requested for review. California teaching credential and Spanish language proficiency desired. Department of Justice fingerprint clearance must be completed prior to the first day of employment at a cost of $62 to the employee.
