Qualifications:
Associate of Arts Degree or higher, or successful completion of NCLB Paraprofessional Certification prior to first day of employment required. Training or experience working in a special needs class recommended. The position requires completion of district-provided Intensive Behavior Intervention training and certification by the consulting behaviorist that class and individual observations have been completed. Previous experience working with special needs students and students with behavior intervention plans preferred. Fluent in American Sign Language required. Department of Justice fingerprint clearance must be completed prior to the first day of employment at a cost of $62 to the employee.
