Position: Freshwater School District Chief Business Official (CBO) 32 hours per week, 0.80 FTE Competitive Health and Welfare Benefits Package Offered 261 Days/Year $38.01 - $54.03 per hour, DOE Job Summary: Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Chief Business Official (CBO) serves as the district's chief financial officer. Plans, organizes, and directs school business and financial support functions including budgeting, payroll, and purchasing. Supports the Superintendent with operational support functions, for ancillary programs such as Nutrition, After School Program, Facilities, and Transportation, as well as with Human Resource functions such as leave management, collective bargaining, and general personnel management. Supervises day-to-day operations of the Business Office and provides direct support and oversight to the Accounting Technician.   #5098

Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Requires five (5) years of experience in school business, or comparable school business and/or private sector experience. Requires associate's degree or higher in a discipline relevant to school business. Candidates possessing a Chief Business Official certification from the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO), preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates who have partially completed the certification or who are interested in obtaining it. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and human relations skills. Competence in communicating effectively with employees, community members, Board members, and representatives of other local, state, and federal agencies. Requires valid Class C California Driver's License, TB clearance, and California Department of Justice fingerprint clearance.
