Qualifications:
General Position Description: As a School Psychologist, your primary responsibility will be to provide support to students, teachers, and parents in addressing the social-emotional and behavioral needs of students. In this role, you will collaborate with other professionals to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, conduct assessments to identify learning and behavioral challenges and provide counseling services to students. You will also work with teachers to develop strategies to support student learning and promote positive behavior in the classroom. Qualifications: To be considered for this position, by July 1, 2024, you must hold a Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field, have a valid state license/certification, and have experience working with children and adolescents. It is important that the candidate has knowledge of federal and state laws, codes, regulations, and requirements pertaining to special education. The applicant should have good communication skills both orally and in writing, and be flexible, organized, and reliable. The successful candidate should be able to work collaboratively with a departmental team and become an active member of the school community. Prior to employment, the applicant is expected to obtain DOJ Fingerprinting and TB Clearance at their own expense.
